This week we are featuring special insights based on The Prayer of Protection.

"I LOOK AT GOD,
GOD LOOKS AT ME.
THAT IS ENOUGH."

In An African Prayer Book, South African Anglican Bishop Desmond Tutu tells the story of a farmer who would come to church and not say a word.  Even after the services were over, he would just sit in silence.  When asked about his behavior toward the Lord, the farmer answered:  "I look at Him; He looks at me.  That is enough."

Today let your imagination do for you what the African farmer’s inner vision did for him. Feel yourself looking at the Light and Wisdom of God and feel the Light and Wisdom of God looking from within at you.

This may provide some added meaning to the words from the first line of the Prayer of Protection:
The Light of God surrounds me.
