PASSING THE TORCH / MANAGING THE ORMs of CHANGE.

On May 3, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., The Rev. Derrick Wells, Minister-Director of LIFE, the Young Adult Group at Christ Universal Temple, will be the Guest Speaker and Officiating Minister at the Two–Fold occasion that 1) Honors retiring director, Ms. Mildred Cook for her years of dedicated service, and her special spiritual and loving guidance in leading Universal Oneness through a successful growth period, and 2). Installs Latina D. Harris as the Universal Oneness Director.

Rev. Wells will lead us into a spiritually practical understanding of what it means to bring peaceful and progressive change into our lives and communities.

The new Universal Oneness Director, Latina Harris, serves currently in a leadership capacity for the Electronic Church programs of Christ Universal Temple, which provide electronic spiritual support to people in over 46 nations. She took her initial Truth Principles training in the Universal Oneness Satellite prior to earning her Teacher License from the Universal Foundation for Better Living, the international association organized by The Rev. Dr. Johnnie Colemon, Founder of Christ Universal Temple.

The Passing the Torch / ORMs of Change Event takes place at Prairie State College, 202 S. Halsted Avenue (Halsted and Vollmer Road) in the Business & Community Education Center, Room 1315. Use Parking Lot D for free parking.

Advance reservations are highly recommended because of the widespread community interest in this festive occasion.
